We went down to Hastings, with the whole troupe going down for the weekend. This turned out to be the most enjoyable trip this year and the Festival was so brilliant! SANKOFA is an annual Hastings based World Music and Arts Festival that took place on Saturday the 29th of October between 2pm and 2am on the Hastings Pier. Among a whole host of globally renowned acts, the festivals musical highlights include the much loved "Celloman," powerful Master drummers Henri Goabi and Nana Tsiboe, colourful African Masque dancers, Black British Jazz Specials with Reg hendrickse and the Urban Gypsy Tribal Belly Dancers
The organisers wrote back to us saying "
Thank you so much for your brilliant performances on Saturday - your presence at Sankofa made the event truly spectacular and I heard so many many positively glowing comments about you all. I personally thought that your performance was one of the slickest I've seen in a long time and I adored your costumes!
